April 23rd Meeting Update :

	In response to the recent rezonings and the huge local interest in having the question of Puckane Settlement Plan adequately re addressed a follow on meeting from Friday April 20th took place on Monday April 23rd in Kennedy's Lounge at 8:00pm Many members recently showed their eagerness to help out with the heavy work load. The Response to the committees request for extra help was very encouraging and six addittional committee members were added. Sub-Groups were formed to deal with specific areas of concern and very positive feedback has already come back from these groups. Should any member of Puckane Development Association who could not join these sub-groups on the night still wish to, they are encouraged and very welcome to do so. Puckane Selected for "ID PROJECT" Galway Film Centre >> ID Project Info >> Puckane Development Association were this week awarded one of the "ID Project" spots for the 2007 Season from the Galway Film Centre. Each Year Galway Film centre awards a handful of ID Project spots that gives community, social and voluntary groups the opportunity to tell their own stories through digital documentary. This is its seventh year, the ID projects groups for 2006 were : Fishbowl Youth Group (Scarriff) A Fresh Start(Gort) Inkululeko Afro Cultural Group (Galway City) Comhar na nAosach(Inis Oirr) Galway Congolese Association Galway Simon Resettlement Project. The Documentary proposal for Puckane Development Association was "Changing Faces and Changing Places" Thanks to all who helped us win this valuable and potentially enjoyable project.
