	In response to the recent rezonings and the huge local interest in having the question of Puckane Settlement Plan adequately redressed an OPEN MEETING will be held this Sunday May 13th in Kennedy's Lounge Puckane at 8:00pm. This meeting will be our last Public Open Meeting prior to the General Election on May 24th. All residents of Puckane and Environs are invited and welcome to attend. Prior to this a brief Members Meeting will be held at 7:30pm Sharp. This members only meeting will be to distribute newly printed membership cards to all paid members and to ratify our newly drafted constitution and committee members. Copies of our Draft constitution are available on our website at the link below this notice Paid Members will also be given ticket priority to future Headline Events planned for this Summer. Should any resident of Puckane & District who has not already joined wish to do so they may join at this 7:30pm meeting. Sadly this was due to the Director from Galway Film Centre being ill, having contracted the water related parasite Chlorosporidium that has plagued Galway this past few weeks. We all wish the Director a speedy and comfortable recovery. All "Project ID" participants will receive confirmation on when the re-scheduled introduction to our Documentary "Changing Places, Changing Faces" will take place and further details will be available on this page as soon as confirmed. RECAP of Project ID : Puckane Development Association were recently awarded one of the "ID Project" spots for the 2007 Season from the Galway Film Centre. Each Year Galway Film centre awards a handful of ID Project spots that gives community, social and voluntary groups the opportunity to tell their own stories through digital documentary. This is its seventh year, the ID projects groups for 2006 were : Fishbowl Youth Group (Scarriff) A Fresh Start(Gort) Inkululeko Afro Cultural Group (Galway City) Comhar na nAosach(Inis Oirr) Galway Congolese Association Galway Simon Resettlement Project. The Documentary proposal for Puckane Development Association was "Changing Places, Changing Faces" Thanks to all who helped us win this valuable and potentially enjoyable project. Galway Film Centre Website >> Fund-Raising Sub Group : Our Fundraising subgroup will this week be passing out letters to raise funds for our “Legal Fund” to challenge the Rezoning of 105.23 Acres in Puckane. Full details will be included on this letter and it will also be available for download once finalised. We wish to thank all who participated in the organizing and distribution of this letter. Also a Summer full of events is being planned to coincide with this initiative and promises to be both work and fun.
